Types of Volunteering

"Volunteering at Lytton Gardens sets the soul  ablaze. Watching a resident's face animate, bring a spark of life to their day, is a thrill which can't be expressed in words."  -Madison, Cisco volunteer

Lytton Gardens makes it easy to make a difference! Whether you want to volunteer on your own or with a group, we can help you use your time and talents to enrich the lives of our seniors. Volunteers bring friendship, intellectual stimulation, and entertainment to the residents of Lytton Gardens.

Corte Madera 4th graders present Madeline with her story called:
"Madeline's Sweet Life"

Presenting: Life Stories!
Each year 4th graders at Corte Madera school in Portola Valley come to Lytton and interview our residents for a program called Life Stories. They meet 2 or 3 times with interview questions and spend the morning getting to know all about their chosen friend and their lives. Then, they assemble pictures, drawings, decorations and write a story to present to the resident. It is a wonderful and moving experience for both the students and our appreciative seniors!
