Lytton Gardens and Episcopal Homes Foundation Form Affiliation

PALO ALTO, Calif., and LAFAYETTE, Calif., November 15, 2006 –– Lytton Gardens Senior Communities and Episcopal Homes Foundation today announced an agreement to form an affiliation.  The two organizations provide housing and services throughout the greater Bay Area to senior citizens representing a wide range of economic means, and they offer the full continuum of care – from independent living to nursing care.  The affiliation will complement and extend the shared missions of both organizations in the communities they serve.

Under the terms of the agreement, Lytton Gardens and Episcopal Homes Foundation will be managed under Episcopal Homes Foundation’s parent company, and the Episcopal Homes Foundation board of directors will maintain oversight of the affiliation.

“Lytton Gardens Senior Communities enjoys a well-earned reputation for community-based housing and services to seniors, making this a natural partnership as we build for the future,” said Gery Yearout, CEO of Lytton Gardens Senior Communities.  “Our affiliation with a progressive organization such as Episcopal Homes will help ensure a secure future for both Lytton Gardens and its residents, as well as a continued, important role for Lytton Gardens in the Palo Alto community.”

“The affiliation of Lytton Gardens and Episcopal Homes well-positions each organization to continue its mission to serve current and future generations of older adults,” said Kevin Gerber, president and CEO of Episcopal Homes Foundation.  “Lytton Gardens and Episcopal Homes share common missions, values and philosophies in their approach to senior living and care, and this partnership will create expanded services and ensure long-term financial stability for both organizations.”
