Family involvement is important to a successful Assisted Living Program. We ask that families or other responsible parties help us help their loved one through some basic activities.

1. Upon move-in, arrange resident apartments to be uncluttered and uncomplicated. We suggest two changes of bed linen, minimal kitchenware, and only usable clothing in the closet.
   
   
2. Supply personal items such as shampoo and soap. Provide repair of personal items and clothing, and take care of dry cleaning requirements.
   
   
3. Provide Lytton Gardens with emergency contact information, including prompt notification of any changes.
   
   
4. Sign-out residents when leaving the building. Let us know an approximate return time.
   
   
5. Inform Lytton Gardens when leaving the area on business or vacation. Leave alternate contact information.
   
   
6. Encourage their loved one to participate in daily activities and special events.
   
   
7. Encourage the practice of good hygiene. This includes supplying incontinence supplies if needed.
   
   
8. Communicate with the Director of Assisted Living to stay in touch and avoid problems.
   
   
9. Be patient and understanding with your loved one. They need your support.
